You can enjoy the countryside between Spessart, the Kinzig Valley and Vogelsberg at first hand when you go walking. You can also get your fill of culture: Emperor Friedrich I “Barbarossa” and the Brothers Grimm both left their marks here. The Spessart is one of the largest contiguous areas of mixed forest in Germany, and the “Spessart robbers” still “catch” groups of tourists to this day.

The Spessartbogen is a quiet kind of hiking trail. Long gone are the days of robbers and bandits; now you can enjoy relaxing natural experiences. The scenery constantly alternates between quiet forests and green meadows, the typical landscape of Hessen's Spessart mountain range. It is also home to magnificent streams that have cut their way through the countryside and made their way down the valley. read more
