The route begins with a leisurely trail along the banks of the Lahn. The climb to Ulrichstein (614 m above sea level) is more demanding - but it's worth the effort! The highest town in Hessen offers magnificent views of the Vogelsberg. Along the way, cyclists can look forward to perfectly preserved historical architecture, including important cathedrals in Limburg and Wetzlar, as well as Weilburg Castle and the fairytale Runkel Castle. From Lauterbach you can choose an alternative route via Schlitz. Follow signposts to the R7a (+ 35km).
